Departmental Requirements

Undergraduate:
1. Courses are taught in Chinese. Applicants should have sufficient listening, speaking, reading, and writing ability in Chinese. They are required to provide a Chinese proficiency certificates (such as TOCFL, New HSK or relevant Chinese language certificate), a Chinese hand-written autobiography and a certificate of Chinese language classes for at least a year.
2. Applicants have to provide at least one of the following English proficiency test scores (such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, etc.) which was taken within the preceding two years, or provide transcripts of English courses taken before.
3. Applicants from Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, or United States of America or have studied and earned degree in these countries can provide the document and waive the English Proficiency test scores.

Graduate:
1. Applicants have to provide at least one of the following English proficiency test scores (such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, etc.) which was taken within the preceding two years, or provide transcripts of English courses taken before.
2. Applicants from Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, or United States of America or have studied and earned degree in these countries can provide the document and waive the English Proficiency test scores.
3. TaiwanICDF scholarship applicants (for Master Program) also should complete and submit the required documents via online system. (http://www.icdf.org.tw/ct.asp?xItem=12505&CtNode=30316&mp=2), and scholarship applicants are not required to provide financial statements.
